1. How did you get one of your scars? my body is full of scars … result of being adventurous in childhood… fell from a number of places….

3.  How are you feeling at this moment? Fully charged up…after-all just finished a grueling Gym session…

4.  How did your night go last night? How a Sunday night should go?  Giving way to Monday morning blues…I ask you….

5. How did you do in high school? If you mean studies … I was OK Ok….

6. How did you get the shirt you’re wearing? Had accompanied a  friend to help with shopping ended up buying this one for me … impulsive shopper u see…

7. How often do you see your best friend(s)? Not very often these days 😦

8. How much money did you spend last month? Can’t disclose… the taxmen snoop everywhere these days

9. How old do you want to be when you get married? Haven’t you heard marriages are made in heaven…. look up and ask this question for me ….

10. How old will you be at your next birthday? Guess… Guess… How Old?

Nine What’s

1. Your mothers name? Anita (This was the name that my mother insisted to be entered in register when my grandparents took her to admit in School… Needless to say my grandparents had named her differently. .. She was all 4 yrs then…Yes that’s my mother….)

2. What did you do last weekend? Shopping veggies and groceries, Movies, reading books, and seeing the Dentist (No I am not going to dedicate a detail post on dentist part).

3. What is the most important part of your life? Family & Friends.

4. What would you rather be doing? Working …. Came in late today….

5. What did you last cry over? Brazil’s loss to Nederland in FIFA World Cup 2010, quarterfinal.

6. What always makes you feel better when you’re upset? Screaming, throwing and breaking things and people near me…now would you ever dare to upset me?

7. What’s the most important thing you look for in a significant other? Should wash my feet and drink that water every day, clean my house, wash clothes,  make my bed, cook my favorite dishes and rear my babies. In short sati savitri, pati vrata nari…. am I asking too much?

8. What are you worried about? Public reaction(Specially ladies) to my answer to previous question … If you are planning dharnas, boycotts and morchas then let me say I was just kidding yaar :P… How can I think such things in today’s times? 😛

9. What did you have for breakfast? Poha and peas curry …kya combination hai …wah…

1. Have you ever liked someone who had a girlfriend/boyfriend? Someone who HAD a boyfriend? Yes… Be Practical yaar… Love aajkal aisha hi hota hai… right?

2. Have you ever had your heartbroken? Yes….sure… result of going after a boyfriend wala girl …bhai…Thank God didn’t end up head-broken 😛

3. Have you ever been out of the country? Yes

4. Have you ever done something outrageously dumb? want proof ? My answers to this survey

5. Have you ever been back stabbed by a friend? See if you have a ‘back’ then it will be stabbed …. fair enough?

6. Have you ever had sex on the beach? Now you are giving me ideas …Hmmm….

7. Have you ever dated someone younger than you? Dating older/mature women is still a taboo in middle-class India I think ….

3. Who was the last person you hung out with? Myself

4. Who was the last person to call you? Sister. Asking to explain the text message ….it happens mostly …

5. Who did you last hug? My Mom.

6. Who is the last person who texted you? Bandita(who or what ever that is) offering me part-time online jobs with good income(reading/writing email, data entry from home etc)… What say? Do I go for it?

7. Who was the last person you said “I love you” to? Same as no. 3 …. Hey wait what are you trying to guess…. huh?

Six Where’s

6. Where did you sleep last night? Gutter after 2 bottles of vodka … What question is this ?….

1. Do you think anyone likes you? I know people who don’t like me …. want that….a long list …anyway…

2. Do you ever wish you were someone else? WISH … don’t you know I have multiple personalities …. multiple alter egos …. be careful….

Four Why’s

1. Why are you best friends with your best friend? Because I am the Best …

2. Why did you get into Blogging? For time-pass, and bore you with dumb posts like I am doing right now 🙂

3. Why did your parents give you the name you have? My parents thought that  I am very intelligent (BudDhiman)… parents think like that … my child is the best right?

4. Why are you doing this survey? Because friends tagged and many friends have done this one ages back… leaving me with very less options to be creative: P

Three If’s

1. If you could have one super power what would it be? Find out who framed the question ‘Do you know the muffin man?’ … Nobody in India knows who he is?

2. If you could go back in time and change one thing, would you? Well if I go back in time and change anything then most probably, while returning  it would not be possible to return where I am right now(answering this survey)… so it’s better to leave things as it is at least if I go back in time I can trace my way back to the current moment….Errr… kuch zyada bol gaya na? Ask more such questions ….

3. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could bring 1 thing, what would you bring? Satellite Phone… and give updates to all and sundry about how I am enjoying myself…when I’ll get bored I’ll call for rescue…

Two Would-you-evers

1. Would you ever get back together with any of your ex’s if they asked you? Look its between me and them …all things can’t be made public… ask me privately if you are really curious …..

2. Would you ever shave your head to save someone you love? Yes…  if that would work then certainly…

You see I have tried to give the best answers possible, some of them are counter questions which I couldn’t help. This post should be treated as work of fiction …if it hurts the sentiments of any section of the population then I apologize 😛 …..

Rain Dance

aay bristi jhepe, dhan debo mepe, dhaner bhitor poka, jamai beta boka” (come rain full speed, will give you measured paddy, but the paddy has pests, jamai raja is a fool) Tinni was uttering the Bengali limerick and dancing with joy in the rain.

Tinni, come in immediately…” scolded Bishaka.

No! Not now, so early” grinned Tinni waving one of her little hands with her other hand on waist.

Come in quickly I am telling you…Silly girl you’ll catch cold” shouted Bishaka getting worried.

He! He! He! How can I catch cold when I cannot even catch the rain…see ma” chuckled Tinni trying to grasp the rain drops with her tiny fingers.

Bishaka smiled secretly and she covered her head with her sari holding it tightly with one hand and jumped into the courtyard to catch hold of frail Tinni and picked her up and ran back to shade. …

“Papa! Look what I have got from Kolpotoru Dadu this time” exclaimed an excited Drojo clutching a new Noddy book wrapped in coloured cellophane paper.
“Very nice! ” I smiled at my little son.

Today, let me tell you the story of Drojo’s Kolpotoru Dadu, my Kolpotoru Dadu, our Kolpotoru Dadu.

We had just moved into Flat No- 61A, the south facing flat on 5th Floor of newly built Vishal Towers, 5A/1 Gangullypara Lane. I was living there with my parents and two little sisters, Dimpi and Tinki, who were twins. I must have been of Drojo’s age then, 6 years and my sisters 3 years.
The school bus would not enter our lane and drop us at bus stand on the main road. Since our apartment was inside the lane, we had to walk about 500-600 meters from the bus-stand while returning or going to school. Ma would escort us between the bus stand and home.
